FTP - Too many connections error

My FTP Software is saying "Response: 421 Too many connections (8) from this IP".

IF your ftp is saying to you "Response: 421 Too many connections (8) from this IP", then you have too many ftp connections open at once.

If you are using filezilla then:

1. File > Site Manager
2. select the ftp you are going to use.
3. Click the tab 'Transfer Settings'
4. check the box that says 'Limit number of simultaneous connections' and make sure it shows the digit: 1

Try and connect again, it should work.

This example is for filezilla ftp, but most other ftp software does have this option.
