Sometimes we get coments from clients saying their web site is down or they cant login to cpanel, access mail etc.
We operate higher security than most other hosts and utilise various security rulesets to increase the securoty footprint in order to protect your data.
For example, if you try to login more than 5 times with an incorrect password, your ip address will be considered as the source of a probbaly attack on your account and your ip will get blocked at the firewall. The same goes for FTP, SSH and any servicethat requires authentication.
Therefore, please try to limit the amount of incorrect authentication data you pass to the server, because you may just find yourself locked out.
In the case you find yourself locked out, please follow this procedure:
1. Go towww.downforeveryoneorjustme.com
2. If it says its "just you", then go to step 3
3. Go to www.ipchicken.com and get your ip
4. Login to the client area and log a ticket including the ip or send an email to support@ukcheaphosts.com
YOU MUST INCLUDE THE IP ADDRESS otherwise we cannot help.
We will then be able to check the firewall for you to confirm the block ad if so unblock you.
