1240CET - we are seeing some delays when loogging in with ssh so restarted ssh servcie but still some delays so chosen to gracefully reboot the server. This has results in downtime of around 90 seconds. SSH login works super fast again so must have been an issue somewhere in the system.
At appx 1203PM CET we have received a report that the http service is down. 1500CET - we have been alerted to some issues on our network and are investigationg the situation. 1530CET - we can see that there is some overloading issues and should have it resolved shortly. 1545CET -server is coming back to normal. we are not 100% sure yet of the culprit but for sure the server was being overload by a clients account. We have had mulitple reports today from various users who have had their wordpress web sites defaced by "BangladeshGreyHatHackers". All the users affected are users who have kept the default wordpress username "admin" in place.
