0900 CET
On server.ukcheaphosts.com it appears that the server at server.ukcheaphosts.com is not responding since appx 0400CET. Despite the data center being contacted at 0410CET via monitoring alerts they have not taken any acton so we are currently contacting them directly to perform a server reboot.
0917 CET
Server is rebooted at around 0910 CET and appears server was overloaded during the night but no action taken by the data centre for some reason. Services are working fine again and we are investigatiing the root cause for the issues and also requesting explantion from data centre*.
0934 CET
Server seems to be running in stable fashion. We have identified some scripts on a customers site which is causing some high loads but disabled them and are montoring the server the next few hours.
2252 CET
We have received an alert that the server is overloaded and when logging in we can see a load of 102 (normal load would be bwteen 2-4. We have requested reboot again. Downtime in this case is 45 minutes as server is backup up again at 2359 CET.
*apparently the data centre has some issues with monitoring system and they are looking into it, however we know that this is not the first time so means that monitoring system has never worked properly. We realise this is qute bad so will be making further complaints to the data centre.
